What to Expect
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that creates a safe and honest space where people can explore life, faith and meaning. Every Alpha has 3 common elements:
Connection
All sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships as we enjoy a meal together
Content
The Alpha talks are designed to inspire conversation. They explore the big issues of life and faith, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”
Conversation
One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say (seriously)!

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
Alpha is for anyone who is curious to explore the big questions of life, faith and meaning. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment.
Run over 10 weeks, each session involves videos and discussions where you can share your thoughts. There’s no pressure and no follow up.
There is no charge for Alpha, it is a free event.

Alpha is run on Thursdays nights from 6:30-8:30pm. Our next Alpha course begins on Thursday 22nd February – 24th April 2024.

The Alpha Course at LMC has now finished. We will be running the Alpha Course again in 2025.
